Building Trails for Everyone

Christine Fox is the MTB Health Programmes Manager for Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland. She is convinced she has the best job in the world and is passionate about getting as many folk as possible outdoors, on bikes of all kinds, and into nature.
MTB Health Programmes Manager and Leadership Development
Christine’s role focuses on the development of the Mountain Bike Leadership Awards working closely with British Cycling, specifically the new FunMBL Award which is enabling disabled riders to become mountain bike leaders and is super excited at its potential. Other projects include Trail Therapy (looking to support folk experiencing mental ill health using mountain biking) and the Rider2Leader programmes which are increasing the accessibility of MTB Leadership for women.
Christine has a Ph.D. in environmental sciences, has worked in education for rather longer than she would like to admit to, and would like to run a 50 miler before she hits 50 years old. She has just rediscovered roller skating.

Too often, women underestimate their own abilities. With women currently making up only around 30% of mountain bike leaders, Ceilidh Chaos shines a light on the need for change and the opportunity for growth. Check our our new film and if you are inspired…
