We are excited to be bringing the Scottish Mountain Bike Conference back to the Tweed Valley after ten years and we look forward to working with partners to deliver what is now the second biggest global mountain bike conference. The conference will showcase the region’s mountain biking credentials and ambition to the world.

The aim of the conference will be to learn from global examples of good practice in mountain biking and then consider how we can individually and collectively make a difference at a local level.

We think now, more than ever, it is important that we bring together the whole eco-system within mountain biking to understand how we rebuild the industry in a more sustainable, equitable, and collaborative way. We think the only way we can achieve this is to bring the industry, public sector, and communities together and discuss how we collectively achieve this whilst being inspired by global examples.

It is expected that the conference will attract around 250 to 300 delegates over the 3 days from Scotland, the rest of the UK and internationally. The delegates are likely to work directly in mountain biking or in a field which encompasses mountain biking including: tourism businesses, land managers, local authorities, public sector agencies, cycling organisations and academics. It is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the successes in Scottish mountain biking, whilst looking to the future to ensure we continue to develop the sport in a sustainable manner.

The conference taking place at the stunning, centrally located Macdonald Cardrona Hotel and Spa and will feature global mountain bike leaders, exciting announcements, international media trips, discussion and consultation on the future of Scottish mountain biking, and much more.

It's shaping up to be an unmissable event. A full programme is in development and will be announced shortly.

Potential delegates now have the opportunity to choose from different conference packages and take advantage of an early bird rate, which will be available until the 10th September.

Ticket prices include refreshments, hot buffet lunch, evening meal and entertainment. A full bar service will be in operation serving local beverages alongside the usual bar offerings at an additional cost.

Accommodation options to be released shortly.
