Scottish Mountain Bike Conference 2024 Programme - Day 3
On Day 3, Saturday 9th November, of the Scottish MTB Conference 2024 the programme goes to our happy place - out on the trails. With a mixture of ride outs, trail dig sessions, and trail building learning sessions. An awesome finish to the 2024 conference.
The Scottish Mountain Bike Conference will be held over three days (Thursday 7th, Friday 8th & Saturday 9th November 2024) and feature inspiring global and local speakers.
The greatly anticipated Scottish MTB Awards will be held on the Friday evening.

Day 3 - Trail Building Digs & Workshop and Ride Outs
On the final day of the conference, delegates will go to their happy place - on the trails.
With a dig day in the morning followed by a trail building learning session on the trails in the afternoon.

Trail Building Digs & Workshop
Tweed Valley Trails Association / Glentress Trail Fairies Dig
Trained dig leaders from the Tweed Valley Trails Association and the Glentress Trail Fairies will lead a joint session at Glentress. Great opportunity to chat trails, meet people, and learn from some of the best diggers out there.
Trails - Learning Session
As a collective, we will visit a trail and discuss the pro's of the trail, the potential improvements that could be made, and the best way these could be achieved. There is power in knowledge and spreading this through our community will result in better quality and more sustainable trails.
Ride-Outs
We have brought together some of the most knowledgeable, informative, and fun leaders in Scotland to help us deliver 3 amazing ride-outs for the conference delegates.
Options
- Adaptive Riding – an opportunity to come and try adaptive bikes and riding - session provided by our event supporter, Adaptive Riders Collective
- Riding for Winter Conditions - #thinkwinter session on how to prepare yourself and your groups to - session provided by our event supporter, Glenmore Lodge
- Bikepacking – introduction to bikepacking including the kit, setting up camp, and practical advice to help you have a safe, responsible, and enjoyable bikepacking experience - session provided by our event supporter, Comrie Croft Journeys
Delegates can select their preferred ride-out which will run for 2 hours in the morning from 10am-12pm) and from 1pm -3pm in the afternoon. These can be matched with dig sessions.
They will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
