The Tayside Trail Association started in 2020 as a group of local riders who simply love being out on the trails, and wanted to help keep them riding well. Since then, it’s grown into a community effort bringing together riders, landowners, and other trail users to look after and improve the network we all share.
While mountain biking is at the heart of it, the work benefits everyone using the trails, from walkers to horse riders. A lot of it comes down to the simple stuff: fixing muddy sections, improving drainage, and making routes safer and more enjoyable. Just as important though is what it does for the people involved.
Trail days are as much about fresh air, good company, and switching off from day-to-day stress as they are about digging. It’s that shared stoke, of riding and looking after the places we ride, that keeps it all going.ture.
