Scottish Mountain Bike Tourism - Webinar (Tuesday 21st March)
- Location
- Online Event
Mountain bike tourism is growing in Scotland. This online workshop will discuss how to encourage longer stays, improve rider experiences, and increase profitability from mountain biking visitors, highlighting a range of new exciting tools, developed to help you provide an amazing experience for visiting mountain bikers in 2023 and beyond.
Mountain biking is growing in Scotland, across the UK, and globally. With around 7% of the population regularly riding their bikes off-road it has double the participation numbers of golf in Scotland.
With the UCI Cycling World Championships coming to Scotland in 2023, the number of mountain biking, and cycling, visitors is only likely to increase.
This increased profile and visitors will only be helped by creating a warm, authentic, and welcoming experience for mountain bikers.
If you would like to find out more about how you can provide a great experience for mountain bikers, we, at Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland (DMBinS), have created a range of resources, including a ‘self-assessment’ tool to assess your current offer and free images/videos to use in your marketing – see www.scottishmtbtourism.com for more information.
To help provide more information and to bring the available resources to life we have organised two interactive webinars aimed at accommodation providers on either Monday 20th March 7-8pm or Tuesday 21st March 2-3pm.
Secure Bike Storage is the most prioritised service for existing mountain bikers. To help businesses in the Highlands offer this service we have 50% grants available.
We hope you can use our guide, resources, our bike storage scheme, and/or join us for our interactive webinar to help you provide an amazing experience for visiting mountain bikers in 2023 and beyond.
