Cycling Infrastructure Fund – South of Scotland – The Webinar
A new £300,000 South of Scotland Cycling Infrastructure Fund has been created to support the region’s aim of becoming one of the leading cycling destinations in the world. This free webinar will explain the opportunities to businesses to help them maximise the opportunity from the lucrative cycling and mountain biking market.
Webinar on the Fund, Support for Businesses & Marketing Plans for South in 2023/24
The Fund offers capital grants of £3,000 to £25,000 to support tourism businesses, social enterprises and community groups who own visitor facing assets to invest in cycling infrastructure.
Encouraging longer stays, improving rider experiences, and increasing profitability from cycling and mountain biking visitors to the Scottish Borders.
This exciting free webinar will aim to introduce accommodation providers, cafes, restaurants, and other businesses or social enterprises in the South of Scotland to the recently launched Cycling Infrastructure Fund, the support available to businesses to improve their offer, and the plans for continued marketing of the South of Scotland to maximise the opportunity from the lucrative cycling and mountain biking market.
The webinar will feature presentations, with the opportunity to ask questions afterwards, from South of Scotland Enterprise, Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland, South of Scotland Destination Alliance, and VisitScotland.
We strongly encourage all local businesses to sign up and attend one of the above workshops to learn how they can better benefit from visiting cyclists.
From hotels, restaurants to physiotherapists, so many organisations can cater to cyclists. The workshops will be an opportunity to find out how businesses can use the Cycling Infrastructure Fund to improve their offer to riders, understand the resources and support available, and the exciting marketing and promotion of the South of Scotland planned by SSDA and VisitScotland.
The events are hosted by Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland (DMBinS) funded by UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund.
