Mountain Bike Trail Therapy – The Night Ride Sessions
We are delighted to be able to offer a further block of Trail Therapy Night Ride Sessions this year. These sessions will support participants to improve their health and wellbeing through guided mountain bike rides at night with our very own Trail Therapy Mountain Bike Leader, Paul McFarlane assisted by qualified Night Ride Leaders Ian and John.
Aim
Participants will improve their health and wellbeing during the block of 6 free sessions and will gain an understanding how MTB can be used as a strategy for maintaining and improving their physical and mental health. This is a great opportunity for people to engage in mountain bike trail therapy at night.
The theme is about embracing the darkness and becoming comfortable on your bike, in the dark, in the wild.
Requirements
Participants must have their own mountain bike, helmet, and lights – suitable for off road riding in the dark and bring suitable clothing for the weather. Participants must be comfortable riding a bike and have the enthusiasm to learn how to ride up to blue level graded trails and moderate graded single track.
Participants must be able to make their own way to and from the various locations.
Sessions are aimed at beginner/intermediate riders who have/or have suffered with mental health ill health.
