Chris Gibbs

When he isn’t training and assessing MTB leaders, he is guiding clients and colleagues on adventures in the high mountains across the globe, from Scotland to Slovenia the High Atlas to the Himalayas.

Given his experience and knowledge of the current issues and technology in MTB guiding, Chris is particularly well qualified to pass on those resources to others, on all our course and especially on the BC MTB Leader.

Passionate about pushing the mountain bike guiding industry forward, he is constantly working to shape the future of MTB leadership qualifications.

Also an experienced bike mechanics tutor, Chris can advise and train others on everything from equipment to indexing, to coaching and big mountain guiding.

He is now using his hard earned knowledge, experience and skills to design new courses for leaders and individual bikers, such the Cycle Wild MTB Trail Mechanics Course.

Chris has also found a passion for racing and performance coaching particularly within gravity disciplines and is actively racing and working as a Gravity coach educator.

Most recently Chris has been awarded the Developing Mountain Biking Scotland – Scottish Mountain Bike Ambassador of the Year Award.
