The Trossachs is well known for being one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland and having lived here since the end of 2020, I've fallen in love with its mountains, lochs and remote paths that feel far from civilization but are just a few miles from the nearest village. I spent many summers here growing up, cycling with my parents round Loch Katrine and exploring the surrounding hills.

It was my Dad's escape from Glasgow during his childhood and he's shared that love with me in a really unique way. Moving here felt like reconnecting with an old friend, and being able to fill my training routes with nostalgia and beautiful views is quite special.

Although I'm a pro rider and follow a structured training plan, I'm also an adventurer at heart and Aberfoyle is my perfect place for allowing me to combine these two things. It's also allowed me to easily venture into other activities that are harder to access in most places.

Here, a row on the loch or a wander up one of the smaller mountains might only take a morning. It's the infinite possibilities for adventure that have planted me firmly in the Trossachs.
