Aneela McKenna

Aneela McKenna is a British Cycling Off Road Leadership Tutor and sports educator with extensive experience in off-road leadership. Since 2015, she has operated as a professional mountain bike guide, leading technical trips across Scotland with a focus on high-quality participant experience. In 2022, she transitioned into a Tutoring role, delivering the Fundamentals Mountain Bike Leadership course to develop the next generation of qualified leaders.

Her work is defined by a commitment to diversifying leadership roles, specifically supporting women, disabled riders, and underrepresented communities. Beyond the trails, Aneela chaired British Cycling’s Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group and has co-founded multiple grassroots collectives. Her expertise combines technical guiding proficiency with a strategic mission to make off-road leadership and remote participation more accessible and inclusive for all.
